Jared Leto & Gucci : A glimpse into the eclectic alliance

A glimpse into the eclectic alliance ⁣⁣⁣

If you’ve ever seen an image of Jared Leto at a prestigious event or even out & about in LA, chances are you were looking at a man draped in Gucci. The Louisiana-born ‘𝘑𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘳’ actor is an immense admirer and ambassador of the Italian fashion house, acting as the face of their Gucci Guilty fragrance collection alongside Lana Del Rey. Leto has also been well known to sport the iconic GG’s when much of the world is watching; he’s dawned Gucci a couple of times on both the Tonight Show and at the Met Gala. So how did the two become so intertwined? Through Gucci’s fabled creative director Alessandro Michele, of course. ⁣

It’s quite difficult to list a more paradigmatic duo in fashion than Leto & Michele today. The two friends have seemed inseparable at time over the past few years since Jared’s debut with Gucci in 2016. Though they’re cut from two seemingly opposite cloths (Leto hails from a small city in Louisiana and Michele from Rome), the two share a passionate bond for fashion and expression. In 2019 Leto described Alessandro as “a genius artist and designer” to W Magazine. ⁣

Their list of collaborative Gucci looks is already becoming extensive; Michele & Gucci exclusively designed Leto’s wardrobe for his recent 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘩 tour with his band 30 Seconds to Mars. Perhaps more memorably, the band’s lead singer pulled up to the 2019 Met Gala equipped with his own 1 of 1 Gucci human head accessory. ⁣
