A maestro of visual communication, Vlad Sepetov is an artist that works primarily with graphic design and photography. If his name doesn’t immediately ring a bell, his work definitely precedes himself. Sepetov is the designer behind all 3 of Kendrick Lamar’s last albums, as well as 𝘖𝘹𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘯 by Schoolboy Q. ⁣⁣⁣

Though a frequent collaborator of Kendrick & Schoolboy’s label TDE, Vlad’s artistic influence can be observed across the genre. Adding to his list of credentials, Sepetov also contributed to art direction on J Cole’s 2016 𝟺 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘌𝘺𝘦𝘻 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 and designed artwork for Vic Mensa’s 𝘋𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘖𝘯 𝘔𝘺 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬 prior to that. Aside from his collaboration with Top Dawg Entertainment and Dreamville Records though, Sepetov actually got his start in the industry with Interscope in 2013, working as an intern for A&R Tunji Balogun. Two years later, he would get a call in the middle of the night from Kendrick’s manager to create the fabled 𝘛𝘰 𝘗𝘪𝘮𝘱 𝘢 𝘉𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘭𝘺, an album and cover that would make a monumental statement in 2015 America. ⁣⁣⁣

More recently, Sepetov’s vision has been manifested through Keep Cool, an LA-based record label ran by former boss & industry executive Tunji Ballogun. Vlad is the head of art direction for Keep Cool, sculpting mesmerizing visuals for promising artists such as Lucky Dave and Normani. ⁣⁣⁣
